Last night I had the strangest dream.
I was participating in some sort of multi-day dinghy sailing event that was being held in a different venue each day.
All of the sailors were staying in some big, rambling house.
I was sailing a two-man dinghy. I was the crew. That's pretty strange to start with.
Every day before sailing we had to write an essay about our strategy for the day.
My skipper and I had done pretty well on the first day of the regatta.
On the second day we were due to sail the Queque.
As far as I could gather the Queque was a long winding lake, or perhaps a river.
There were charts of all the sailing venues for the regatta on the walls of the house but I couldn't find a chart of the Queque.
On the morning of the day scheduled for the racing on the Queque I had to leave the house to attend to some personal business, and I was late for the essay writing "exam."
I rushed in with only a few minutes to write my essay and I didn't know what to write about the Queque.
All I could remember was that my skipper had told me that we should "stay in the hoo."
What does this all mean?
In the dream I seemed to think that Queque was some kind of native American place name. But I googled "queque" this morning and discovered that this is a queque.

Were you happy as a child?
Don't see how you're going to sail that, but it looks absolutely scrumptious.
Not excessively so. Would that be a problem?
Of course I might really have been inspired by the nearby Quequechan River, but that wasn't sailable either - just a series of waterfalls as I understand, and it's all underground now.
That's not a queque, it's a bundt.
The problems of our childhood are often keys to later behavior.
For example, you are crewing on a boat larger than a Laser in your dream. Sometimes, if potty training was stressful, in later life we may crave a boat big enough to poop on.
I'm pretty sure I wasn't dreaming about a boat big enough to poop on. I've been on some of those boats and that would be a nightmare. No, I think it was a relatively small two-man dinghy like a Jet 14.
No, no, no.
I"m pretty sure this is a bunt.
It's obvious! Because you missed your exam, you were unconsciously sabotaging yourself doing well. Simply, Tillerman, you have a fear of success and being judged. O Docker has a point about your possible infantile toilet anxieties and, to that end, you must have been mistaken about what the skipper said. He must have said to "stay in the loo", a very kind suggestion under the circumstances.
Have you recently changed your medication?
Ah, that's for the Winter Olymics Curling event.

Could it be that queque if pronounced with a French accent that out sounds like cake? Not sure why you dreaming of it, maybe someone else can help you with that.
Be well, and let them eat cake!
I think I'll go and have a piece of queque now
