She was 8lb 3oz at birth, exactly the same as her big sister, Isabel.
Her parents have named her Juliet Elizabeth.
Mother and baby are both doing fine.
This afternoon Juliet was sleeping peacefully in my arms when this photo was taken.
Twenty years ago I owned six boats and had zero grandchildren.
Now I own one boat and have six grandchildren.
Life is good.

Congratulations, Old Man! The RS sailing team continues to expand.
Better start collecting boats again.
Beautiful Juliet
Ah, so that's why you need another boat! Bigger family, more boats.
Anyway, congrats [Like] [+1] ...
The correct number of boats to own is n+1, where n is the number of boats currently owned.
Ha! I lead you by 3 grandchildren and trail you by two grandsons. But congratulations just the same!
The correct number of grandchildren to have is n where n is the number of grandchildren you currently have.
Thanks Doc.
Twenty years ago, I had two boats, two children, and zero grandchildren.
Today, I have seven boats, two children, and still zero grandchildren.
I think you're winning... congratulations.
Congratulations on the latest launching
I own one boat, but have no grandchildren.
It's difficult to have grandchildren if you have forgotten to have children.
But I can see the appeal of grandchildren. You can play with them all you want while someone else looks after the poop and the spilled soup and the commotion at inconvenient hours.
With all that digital technology has brought us, you'd think that someone would have invented a way to have grandchildren without the bother of having children first.
And Juliet does seem to take after granddad - sound asleep in the middle of the afternoon.
It is true I did take a nap yesterday afternoon. Napping is one of my many under-appreciated talents.
But it is something of a myth that "someone else looks after the poop and the spilled soup and the commotion at inconvenient hours." Eventually the parents work out that the grandparents can be persuaded to take on the "poop, soup and commotion" duties while they do things like go to a blogging conference or go to hospital to have even more grandchildren. In fact this week we have six straight days and nights of "poop, soup and commotion" duties.
And we're loving it.
So far.
And actually it is possible to have granddaughters without having daughters first. I think that's my favorite trick.
In 10 years, I hope the family will have one or more grandpas, and at least seven boats....
I do sometimes dream of owning a summer house on a lake with a fleet of little sailboats lined up on the beach and all the grandchildren coming down to the house all summer and sailing every day with me. Camp Tillerman!
But somehow I don't think it's going to happen quite like that.
And 8 years later the little buggers are so smart that I can't even beat them at Connect 4.
Granddaughters!
Tonight I beat her at Sorry! (just) but she beat me at Monopoly. When did 8-year-olds get so smart?
Funny, that "correct number of boats" formula (n +1) works for guitars, too. Looking forward to teaching my own grandchildren how to sail, and how to play guitar.
