So it is all agreed, my friend? As soon as Alinghi wins the second race you will present us with a challenge from the "Necker Island Yacht Club". Then you and I can run AC34 any way we want. And the Americans will go crazy again. Ho ho ho ho ho!
Shit Richard, We've made a crap boat uncapable of sailing in over 1/2m swell and more than 6 knots. I don't know what else I can do to keep postponning that shit...Any thoughts?
I'm confused about the status of this caption contest.
Adam Turinas has just posted the same contest. Will you petition the Rhode Island Appellate Courts for the rights to hold the contest in Rhode Island?
Why must this America's Cup caption contest be immersed in controversy and endless haggling between bloggers?
Can't we just let the caption writers compete fair and square? Do you realize what this is doing to the image of caption contests in the minds of the public?
ODocker, actually you are winning overall. That really made me laugh. I think in true AC spirit, I will offer you two TShirts to make comments exclusively on my blog. As the Challenger, I will disagree with everything Tilleman says on principle.
Sorry TMan, you did indeed beat me to it but it must have been a telepathy thing.

Hey Ernie, it's sunny and blowing 15 knots out there today. Why are we in here looking at this ugly cup when we could be out sailing?

No Richard, right here...you see it? It says "TT loves JF"
Nice. It took me a few seconds to work that one out!
Ernie, quit the guided tour bullshit. I just came by to say that if you and Larry don't cut the crap I'm going to bang your f...ing heads together.

Hey, Ernie, you think you could open up the competition to include rocket ships next time around?
Well, I was first. But Adam is offering a prize.
So my contest is in the true corinthian spirit of the sport, purely amateur, just like the original caption contests in Ancient Corinth.
Adam's is for professionals who train full-time for caption contests and are only in it for the T-shirts.

I will offer O Docker 3 T-shirts if he agrees to make all of his comments on your blog and not mine in future.
I think, with the right lawyer, I could probably score five tee shirts out of this deal.
I'm just in it for the tee shirts.
See , right there... I told you it was paint.

Richard: It's an ewer, Ernesto, not a cup.
Ernesto: Really? Where'd you learn that from?
Richard: Says so on Tillerman's blog. And don't try and fill it. It's got no bottom.
Ernesto: Right.
I'm sure going to miss this tin cup....
See I told you you can see it right there under the silver fig leaf.
