Oh yes, Sam. I will take notes. I find it difficult to compose interesting blog posts while at these events, so I don't even bother to take my computer. But I take notes every evening and mull things over and sooner or later blogging ideas emerge.
"Gusty winds to 40 knots and waves breaking across the bar in the morning forced the cancellation of racing yesterday at the Laser Masters World Championships off Hayling Island Sailing Club GBR"
Sounds rough! Hope you and the boat are okay and good luck moving up the rankings and keeping it all together.
After a couple of days canceled for too much wind, more moderate winds seem to have arrived. Four races are now in the bag and is that what they'll use to split the fleets?

Break a leg!
Broke a mast yesterday. Does that count?
I have an old Banshee mast you can have for free. (Why do I feel like I'm the guy who bought a Betamax?)
Godspeed sir!
Thanks Joe and bonnie.
Have fun at Sandy Point. Wish I was there with you.
Good luck, hope you don't break anything else, and welcome back to ol' Blighty.
Good luck.
You have an advantage over most of the international competition.
You'll be able to find the jibe mark, no matter how they spell it.
Take notes so you can tell us all about them races and people and waves and wind and food and drink and what you will do different next year.
Oh, yes, count the mommy boats.

Definitely sounds like time to retreat to the pub!
If waves were breaking even in the bar, no wonder they cancelled.
The British are usually quite cautious about where they place their pubs.

It sounds like the Laser Master Worlds was brutal to strange. Let's hope for much better luck in San Francisco next summer.
