Dead Polar Bear

The climate is changing.

Sea ice in the Arctic is at record low levels.

Polar bears feed mainly on seals and need sea ice to capture their prey.

Because of the retreating sea ice, this bear had to go searching for food far from his normal habitat.

And he starved to death.

Ultimately, it's our fault.....

Hmm - well balanced opinion on climate change from the Guardian, death of a single polar bear implied clear evidence of climate change - small wonder there's such scepticism on the whole climate change debate

The climate science is clear. Outside of the bubble created by the fossil fuel industry (mostly in America), evidence trumps denial. Another dead polar bear is not needed as proof. Merely one more casualty to regret on the road to climate chaos.

Here in Japan, the temperature in Shimanto City, Kochi Prefecture, on Monday afternoon reached 41C - a record for the country. That's 105.8 F, not counting the humidity which pushes the heat's effects to a much higher level in terms of how it is felt by the body. On Sunday, 1781 people were hospitalized and 4 died due to heat stroke in Japan.

On the up side, bears in the zoos of Japan have been kept well fed and are cooled by hosing down with water.

As some English dude once wrote, "What a piece of work is man! How noble in reason..."

It's amazing that everything that happens today is because of climate change. Next time I get pulled over for speeding I am going to claim climate change.
I saw a news show that blamed angry people on climate change.

I blame this blog post on climate change.

Um, make that your fault.

Wow, I had no idea the global warming caused bullet holes in polar bears.

Learn sumptin' every day.

Well I don't believe that the death of one polar bear is a huge argument for climate change, it does however really make you think and I find it a heartbreaking topic. So many different opinions.

The polar bear I saw in East Greenland was feeding happily.

That doesn't mean there isn't global warming either: however the science clearly says there is.

That's true, otherwise polar bears would still roam down to the 43rd parallel like they did only 20,000 years ago.
