Thanks to the wonders of video technology, the RC at Massapoag YC were filming the races yesterday. Here they got a really cool shot of my hand on the gunwale.
Well spotted JP. Great question. That is a 1995 Laser and at that time the manufacturer was trying various ways to decorate the boats. This one had psychedelic stickers inside the cockpit and on the hull. I removed the ones on the hull years ago - they were getting scuffed - but the ones in the cockpit are still there. The smaller sticker to the left of the long one is actually a key to racing flag signals (which I hardly ever consult.)
Correct Doc. My sail number is 157812. But as I bought this sail for practice and for racing with the Newport Laser Fleet, and as that fleet only records the last 4 digits of Laser sail numbers when scoring finishes, I only put the last 4 digits on the sail. Actually that makes me more of a nitpicker and goody-goody than many of the fleet who only use 1,2 or 3 digits.

Very handsome.
I've gotta hand it to you, you're more old school than I thought...Laser 7812! Must've been the oldest one out there.
Gripping stuff indeed
What is that long photo in the cockpit? Racing rules?

If that is a 1995 Laser hull, your sail number should be between 155823 and 158264. No? Even if it is a previously-owned Intensity sail?
