A cell phone amongst the floatsom and jetsom is a real sign of the times - Absolute disgrace on all of us really - We all take the idea of a 'Throw - a - way - society' too literally - We throw in the direction of a rubbish tin!

Strangely enough we found a cell phone on another local beach the last time we went for a beach walk a few weeks ago.

Oops - That last sentence of mine should read - A 'Throw - a - way' society MUST learn to 'throw' in the direction of a rubbish tin!

LOL Alden.

I suspect the phone may have been accidentally dropped off a boat and washed up on the beach. But it is pretty disgusting how many beverage containers ended up in the same place.

Why is it always really BAD beer that gets thrown away....like Budlight etc....is it that the kind of people that drink that stuff have no respect for the environment. We always collect trash on our walks (if we have something to carry them in) and it's always junky stuff, cookie wrappers, soda pop.. and so on....hmmmm

Good point. I will have to take a trash bag next time we walk this beach.

I was wondering why there were so many beverage containers on the beach promoting local sports team like the Boston Red Sox and the Foxboro Patriots. Don't the fans of those franchises treasure these objects so much that they at least take them home and put them in the recycling?
