Duct Tape

I always take a roll of duct tape with me when I go sailing. It can fix most things that need a temporary repair. Seems like those NASA astronauts have the same philosophy: one of the astronauts on the current shuttle mission suggested using duct tape to fix a loose jet-backpack.

So what's the most unusual use of duct tape that you've come across?

  1. The strangest use I've seen for it is using it to hold a prosthetic leg on a skier. It was about a dozen years ago, up in NH.

  7. I know I'm going to hate myself for asking this question but I'm going to ask it anyway...

fuff - what did you actually do with the sticky ball to get into the house?

  8. Once I found the door lever (from through the letterbox, I used the sticky ball to make the stick stay put, whilst pushing upwards to release the catch.
