Queensland Lungfish


We're very excited about our upcoming trip to Australia. Only two days now until we leave. Wonder what this beauty tastes like when it's deep-fried in batter and served up with chips, vinegar and mushy peas?

Okay, I might have said that mushy peas scare me, but then the picture loaded. Eeep.

We saw a shark when swimming near Port Douglas. I think I might have had greater issues with a lungfish.

It's a slug with gills, right?

Is it? I thought it was a fish with a lung. What's the difference? Are slugs good with chips and mushy peas?

Lung is the Chinese word for dragon. maybe that has something to do with the name? does it have lungs?

Yes Edward, it has a lung, and it uses it to breather at times of poor water quality or increased activity.
