We took Andrew's sister and brothers to meet him today and they all thought he was wonderful.
I held him for a while and sang to him quietly a few verses of Wheels on the Bus. It looked to me as if he was dreaming of Laser sailing in Minorca. Whatever the reason, he was smiling a lot as he slept in my arms.
He has his mother's hair, his brother's nose, my father's chin, my mother's eyes, and his grandmother's habit of twitching in her sleep. Definitely a classic tiller extension.
We're going to need a table for 11 at the Boat House for the next Team Tillerman dinner.
Thanks Panda. I think you're right about the boats. I was dreaming last night about a summer house on a lake somewhere in New England with 5 little junior boats lined up on the beach.
Yeah, that's the ticket! Dream on along those lines.
Babies are such an awesome miracle, aren't they? I can think of no other experience that brings one immediately to ground about what is important in life.
There is something awesome (in the best sense of the word) about holding your own child or grandchild in your arms and reflecting on what, in your own life, brought him here and how he holds the potential to carry your own genes (and name) to future generations through the ages.

What a wonderful dilemma. Congratulations!!!
Congrats, Tillerman!
Thanks everyone.
And today... Andrew's father and I will attempt to run a half-marathon.
Congratulations! Forget the bigger boat, grandpa. You need to provide each Tillerperson with their own sailboat!
Best of luck with the run.

Congrats!
Sign them up at TYC for the Summer. They have boats and a pool.
