Blobfish

The blobfish (Psychrolutes marcidus), a species that lives at great depths and is rarely seen, has been voted the world's ugliest animal.

How rude!

The blobfish may be a little aesthetically challenged.

But only to human eyes.

I bet all the lady blogfish think he's very handsome.

Happy Valentine's Day.

Really? How do you tell the gender of a blobfish?

For that matter, how do you tell the gender of a Sunfish? Are the males the ones with the bright colored sails?

The Hippopotamus

Behold the hippopotamus!
We laugh at how he looks to us,
And yet in moments dank and grim,
I wonder how we look to him.

Peace, peace, thou hippopotamus!
We really look all right to us,
As you no doubt delight the eye
Of other hippopotami.

Nothing to add, but the typo in the fourth sentence is one of your better efforts.

Or is that one of your better lack of efforts?

We are all blogfish in a big cybersea.

Well spotted.

There are lots of lady blogfish at Never Sea Land.

I'm amazed that no-one has seen the resemblance between this fish and W C Fields.

Good point Genie. I was wondering why I kept expecting the blobfish to come out with some snide remark about women or children.
