All 2,200 miles of them? Impressive! The good thing, of course, is that they are very well served by pubs. Then there are the lost canals and rivers, one of which I've recently learned is quite close to me.
I hate when I lose a canal or river. It's so hard to find them again. It's even more annoying when you lose one of a matching pair. What's the use of a left canal when you don't have the right canal to go with it?
The one I'm thinking of is either under the bed or I threw it out with all the wrapping paper and boxes from the Xmas presents. That's how most people lose their canals and rivers. I've lost a chord and a generation that way too.

Hopefully it's not the bargain cruise on the Qswestry ship canal
Sounds fun - which canals and/or rivers will you be on?
All of them!

For the one I'm thinking of you can catch a train that was built over the canal
