There is a huge drag penalty operating in shallow water like that. I wonder if the calories expended are greater than what they can eat this way. Maybe those are just really good tasting fish?
Hey Danny B. Haven't heard from you for a while. Seems like at least 233 years since you last posted any comments. Can you please provide the mathematical derivation for why you think the drag penalty is "huge." Surely it all depends on the angle of attack?
