This is a Motorboat

Pat has been out in the desert sun too long. He is spending way too much time poring through Rhode Island statutes to try and prove that my Laser is a motorboat under Rhode Island law.

No Pat.

This is not a motorboat.

This is a motorboat.

Excellent! Looks like the motor boaters forgot to put the drain plug in their truck, this time.

Come to think of it, I don't think this maneuver was covered by my boat launching checklist.

One of these days....
I'd love to send camera crews out to boat launch ramps during busy times and produce a "World's Funniest Boat Launch" movie.

"Oh, I thought you just towed the boat into the water to launch it."

"I haven't learned how to reverse with the trailer yet so I was forced to do it this way."

Weren't they supposed to lower the truck down on a rope or strap to get it deep enough?

Silly power boaters. Don't they know that they have to launch faster if they want to get the boat deep enough to float off the trailer.

Joe Boater at Marina DelRey, CA. Once he gets his truck out of the water, do you think he should brush up on the rules of the road? Does a truck have a port side?
