Cool video, somehow missed this one.. Let the AC frenzy keep growing!

Big time competitive sailing today is so much better for the spectator - close-in racing, very fast boats, streaming videos on board, graphics showing lay lines, etc etc.

I beg to differ!

Though suspect it will be a VERY long time before the AC truly comes home :(

Yeah. The title is a quote from the video and I thought it was a little presumptuous. The actual AC event itself is not coming to Newport, and does the AC even have a permanent home any more? True, the event has been held in Newport many times but does that really make it the "home" of the AC. There were 13 AC matches from 1870 to 1920 run out of New York City, and 12 from 1930 to 1983 out of Newport. I think the matches out of NYC were actually sailed off Sandy Hook NJ, so maybe NYC or even New Jersey has as much a claim as Newport to say they are the "home of the America's Cup."

Still, it will be fun to go and watch the AC45s race down at Newport this summer, and blog about it.
