I think this baby was 23 months old when he met his/her younger sibling

I now discover that this picture was posted all over the Interwebs before I saw it. Some versions have a caption saying that the seaman's name is Anthony Bennet and he was serving on Her Majesty's frigate Whitby. What may be the original version is on page 135 of a 1987 book called LIFE Smiles Back - More Than 200 Classic Photos from the Famous Back Pages of America's Favorite Magazine. The copyright is owned by Time Inc.

So this may not be in the 1940s as the caption on the version I saw said. Wouldn't it have been HIS Majesty's frigate in the 1940s? And Wikipedia (which is never wrong) confirms that "HMS Whitby was a Whitby-class frigate launched in 1954 and sold for scrapping in 1978."
