Welcome To My World

So here I am writing a mediocre little blog about my pathetic attempts to race a Laser in a frostbite series...

Now I see that one of the big guns of sailing writing is copying my act. Esteemed old-media dead-tree glossy magazine Sailing World has started a blog and SW editor Dave Reed has written the first post in that blog about... what else but his pathetic attempts to race a Laser in a frostbite series. Of course he writes a lot better than I do but, if his post is to be believed, he sails just as badly as me.

Dave, welcome to my world. What took you so long?

He's a day late and a dollar short.
You'll always be the number one laser blogger in my heart.

Cheers and Merry Christmas.

You're right eliboat. I see that even Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of Her other Realms and Territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith is going to deliver her Christmas message this year by podcast.

Kat please show some respect. The Sovereign is always referred to as His or Her Majesty - at least since the times of James 1. Surely even people in Canada know that?

His or Her Royal Highness is used as a title by lesser members of the royal family such as Her Royal Highness Princess Michael of Kent whose real name isn't Michael and who doesn't come from Kent. Got it?

And yes Her Majesty is doing a podcast. One has to keep up with the times doesn't one?
