This could be a metaphor for the holidays in general. Thinking of going sailing tomorrow, that'll fix it :-)

Yep, that's the one that gets on my nerves, even though someone dear to me tries to tell the song is actually okay. Anachronistic, untruthful, spurious, fake sentimentality, counterfeit.... bah, I mean aarrh, matey, yes, let's go sailing!

Now one not-so-bad moment a few weeks ago was when we were in Arizona for Thanksgiving, and got out of the car into a mostly empty shopping mall parking lot, where the light-pole-mounted speakers were playing "Baby, It's Cold Outside" in the 80 degree weather and mostly sunny skies.
