That is a day which truly lives in infamy.

I was 2, but my mom and dad remembered exactly "where they were" when that occured. The world basically stopped spinning for a time, as they put it.

We all experienced a similar, equally numbing experience,
nine years ago last September 11th.

I wasn't quite an adult yet, but that may have been the day I became one.

I was 15, living in England. JFK was the first politician from any country that really inspired our generation.
And yes I remember exactly where I was when I heard the news.

He was also said to be fond of Royono, a 73-ft yawl built in 1936, and then owned by the Navy Academy. In March 1973 I had the adventure of being on a delivery crew taking it from Ft Lauderdale to Kittery, Maine. It's currently for sale in Italy for 4.9 Million Euros. http://www.jameslist.com/advert/33507/for-sale-herreshoff-royono
