I sailed a bit with Dan Flanigan who is part of the project. Is that cheating? hmm

I assumed it must be something like that. A little local knowledge always helps.

I didn't announce a prize for the winner, but sometimes I have offered the opportunity for the winner of a quiz to choose any topic that they would like me to write a blog post on. You can do that if you want.

Dang, and on the first guess no less. Good job, Seth!

Is that the dock at Evelyns?

It is indeed. The group of young men who have built this autonomous robot boat (with the intention of having it cross the Atlantic) have been doing a lot of their trials on Nanaquaket Pond in Tiverton.

That's pretty neat, I hadn't heard of them.

I became aware of them a year or two ago. I think this boat is the fifth version they have made. Apparently they plan to launch it on its transatlantic attempt this Saturday. I will try and publish a post about it tomorrow.
