I didn't announce a prize for the winner, but sometimes I have offered the opportunity for the winner of a quiz to choose any topic that they would like me to write a blog post on. You can do that if you want.
It is indeed. The group of young men who have built this autonomous robot boat (with the intention of having it cross the Atlantic) have been doing a lot of their trials on Nanaquaket Pond in Tiverton.
I became aware of them a year or two ago. I think this boat is the fifth version they have made. Apparently they plan to launch it on its transatlantic attempt this Saturday. I will try and publish a post about it tomorrow.

That's pretty neat, I hadn't heard of them.
