Oh no no no

I've always loved this interpretation of Rocket Man by William Shatner. I'm wondering whether I should record myself reciting a slightly different version of the song dedicated to The Tiller Man? Oh no no no.

I packed my Laser on the trailer yesterday
First warning signal ten a.m.
And I'm gonna be high as a kite by then
I miss the land so much I miss my wife
It's lonely in these waves
And I'm getting wet in all this spray.

And I think it's gonna be a long long time
Till splash down brings me round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no no no I'm the Tillerman
Tillerman hiking off his socks out here alone.

Rhode Island ain't the kind of place to raise your kids
In fact it's cold as hell
And there's no one here to raise them if you did
And all this science I don't understand
It's just my job seven days a week
A tillerman, a tillerman.

And I think it's gonna be a long long time...

It would be impossible to parody this video. William Shattner is incredible. What was he thinking. The emphasis on HIGH at the start and the way he drags on the cigarette...Four words: Michael Phelps Bong Pipe.

Bernie Taupin looks as a delighted about this interpretation of the songs as if he was marrying off his daughter to a chapter of the Hells Angels.

My final words are that you should get William Shattner do your version of the song. He would probably do it in a speedo with a pirate hat on

Oh my goodness. I know I probably deserve this after giving you stick about the wonky posts.

Classic.

All human life is here. Sometimes I'm grumpy; sometimes I'm wonky; sometimes I'm just plain weird. Proper Course is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're going to get.

I think I’m going to have to rethink retirement. I love it when you get lyrical. But I WILL NOT retire, move to a cold climate where I get wonky, write a lot (more), run for the sake of running, and sail in the snow and ice.

Karaoke as a career: likely I could get paid or get beer to NOT sing. Yet my state is having its first-ever state Karaoke competition being promoted, with finals to be held at Elephant Butte Lake at the end of May.

Temps neared 70 degrees (f) today at Elephant Butte Lake, but not wind was lacking for good sailing, so I was moving boats around and talking about boat motors. But, at least I was out in the sun some of the day, so big number 50 wasn't all bad. Ah, the agony of living in a warm, sunny climate.
