Outboard on Table

Thanks to Chris Partridge of Rowing for Pleasure for sending in this picture in response to yesterday's question about Furniture and Sailing. It's not a sailboat but it is a boat... I guess.

I think this is a sailboat. The captain just happened to be motoring when the photo was taken.

Sadly, sailboats that don't sail that well are motored about more than they are sailed.

The problem here is that, since there are more than one mast, you have opened one of those endless and tedious debates about whether this is a schooner or a yawl or a cat ketch or a barkentine or god knows what else.

The design seems somewhat modern, though, as the masts are unstayed.
