This is where minimalist blogging falls down - wow what is it, where is it..... is it a cat boat or a spyder boat???

It's a cat boat, one of the famous A-Cats of Barnegat Bay in New Jersey. And its name is Spyder.

Does nobody realize there's a 10 foot spider on their sail?

You're blog is very encouraging to me. I'm getting up there myself, nice to see another senior (read as experienced in life) person out sailing.

Thanks George. My blog is very encouraging to me too.

What makes you think I'm out sailing? It's windy and cold out there! I'm in here blogging.

Some great stuff on her here and a video showing that wooden boats are actually much quicker to build than grp.

Proud to be of Barnegat Bay

Hey! I've sailed on Spyder. There are about 15 of those A-Cats and they race every Saturday during the late spring through early fall along with a slew of other one design old wooden classics. They are the giants of the water. Other A's include Witch, Ghost, Raven, Lotus and Lightning. All with giant pictures on their sail. It takes two people on the tiller in big breeze and they use bodies on the boom down wind for the vang! GREAT TIMES.
