I was in Singapore briefly last week and could see the racing from my hotel. What a joke. It was a small lake (big pond) sandwiched between massive hotels. Wind was incredibly gusty and shifty. Course was too tight for big cats wind up to speed. I saw one collision, but not the one above. If this is the future of sailing, count me out.

Totally agree Luke. I would much rather watch Sunfish drifting around a lake in New Jersey.

Oh, and they were sailing a Starboard course, so there was a procession of starboard tackers waiting for the big cat ahead to undertake a 180 degree about turn at the mark before the next big cat could stall itself doing the same manoeuvre.

Overall it really was like watching F1 cars trying to race on a go cart track. It makes no sense at all
