Syllogism

A usually beats B
B usually beats C
A always beats C.

A is That Guy
B is me
C is The Other Guy.

Last weekend
B didn't sail the same regatta as A and C
C beat A.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?

This is messing with my head.

If I can't rely on the local Laser pecking order, then what is sacred? There is no foundation to my life.

What does this all mean? Where does it leave me?

Clearly you are an integral part of the Laser pecking order, i.e., without B to keep C down, C beats A.

Why do you torment yourself? You're becoming an emotional wreck.

Maybe the Laser's just not your boat. How about a nice Lido? You could take your grandkids out with you. It's got a nice cuddy you could hide in if you spot any of your Laser buddies. Never again would you botch a gybe by catching your sheet on the transom.

It's just too painful watching you suffer like this.
