Like OK God

The poll on whether this blog should be about Sailing or whether Tillerman should write about Whatever The Hell He Wants is tightening. There has been a last minute surge for Sailing but it ain't over until the fat lady sings...

If Sailing loses it will open up a door to a whole new world of blogging topics for me. To use the words of the woman who would be the 45th president of the USA...

I’m like, OK, God, if there is an open door for me somewhere, this is what I always pray, I’m like, don’t let me miss the open door. And if there is an open door, and if it is something that is going to be good for my family, for my state, for my nation, an opportunity for me, then I’ll plow through that door.

Me too. I'm like ready to plow through the door marked "Whatever The Hell He Wants" if like God calls me.

The poll is like over there >>>>>>>>>

If you always and only wrote about sailing how would I ever have come to try mushy peas?

My coverage here of the mushy peas gastronomic scene started as part of the Fish on Fridays theme. Sadly Fish on Fridays is currently in a distant third place in the global poll but like if God says OK like here is an open door like to mushy pea blogging then like I will plow right through that door.

Total 293 for sailing
Total 264 for whatever the hell he wants

You have a split mind already.
I would declare a joined winner and write whatever the hell you want which will no doubt include sailing.....

Geeze. Trust a Dutchman and a Judge to get all analytical on me. But you're quite right Jos. I do tend to reach across the aisle to address other issues occasionally.

But your analysis is skewed. Pretty much all the posts about Cabarete, Minorca, Mental Fitness, and Frostbiting were actually about Sailing.

So the majority for Sailing in the current house is more like 358 to 199. And remember that in the primary WTHHW beat Sailing by a margin of 51 to 2. I still feel that the world is tired after 4 years of the same old sailing ramblings and is demanding Change. But Sailing is mounting a strong Get-Out-The-Vote effort and may well squeak into office with a narrow victory.

I love how the poll percentage adds up to something like 187%. It's a number that goes well with rapidly fading concepts like 'strategery.'

Mr Andkris, surely you know that under the United Google Constitution, citizens of Bloggerdom are allowed to vote for as many candidates as they wish? This is one of our inalienable rights provided by our creator Mr Evan Andmeg, along with life, liberty and the pursuit of truthiness.

That is why the number of votes cast is higher than the total number of registered voters. Surely you are not suggesting anything else?

Okay. Who am I to fight the current and swim upstream? Am I salmon or a body surfer? Body surfer, I say. And verily so!

I'll go vote again.

Hey,

Who's skewing the polls?!

The few, the proud, the Anonymous.

Still staying off the Tillerman's lawn... :P Been too busy on leg 1 of the Volvo Ocean race game.

Yes Anonymous. I fear that there is some deliberate voter fraud going on in favor of the Sailing party. It looks like they are trying to pad the ballot to prevent Change.

There seems to be a late run on the sailing, huh? hahahahaaa.

More secrets of how to sail the Laser faster than anyone else would be great. Do keep sailing as your central theme. Actually as a Brit I was a bit non-plussed by your comments about the Olympic Laser Medal Race; having recently had the privilege of going on a course led by Paul Goodison it was obvious that he was determined to get his gold medal whatever it took within the rules - not typically British. Another highlight of the Olympic Sailing was Zach Railey of superpower USA pleading with Ben Ainslie to be allowed to get his silver. And seeing Yorkshire lass Anna Tunnicliffe winning Laser gold. Please keep going!

Yeah, I agree. That would be great.

But you don't really think you're going to hear any such secrets from me do you? What you will find here is probably going to be more of the same fare as before... more new ways to screw up Laser races than anyone ever imagined... more stupid mistakes on the race course than you ever believed were possible... more excuses for losing to avoid the inevitable conclusion that I suck at Laser sailing... etc. etc. etc.

My comments on the Olympic medal race concept were about how it has not lived up to its stated purpose of providing a more understandable and exciting conclusion to an Olympic regatta. I wasn't criticizing Goodison for doing what he need to do to win the gold. Far from it. I was just noting the mathematical absurdity of a system which means that there is actually an advantage in having a worse score than your nearest competitors going into the final race.

Look forward to reporting a 100% Brit sweep of all sailing gold medals at the next Olympics!

You see what happens when you leave the genteel arenas of sailing, regattas, and flue gas desulfurization, for the snakepit of politics? You're going to get burned.

Wait until 60 Minutes finds out about these ballot box shenanigans.

I see it coming now - Tillergate.
