Word Clouds

The folks at snapshirts have a tool that lets you create a word cloud from your blog and print it in a T-shirt. A word cloud is a visual depiction of the words used in a body of text depicting more frequently used words in progressively larger fonts.

This is what my T-shirt would look like ...
And here's one for a fellow blogging sailor.
Can you spot who he is?

And this one?

How sad that the word "work" is so prominent in all three clouds!

It would be harder to guess if the images didn't link to the blogs.

The second is five o'clock somewhere, Carol Anne's lovely blog. It has her name in it and the word wizards, which is the fictional series that appears on her blog.

The other is evk4's blog. The thing that gives it away is the Clover entry...the name of the little boat he's refinishing.

I didn't even have to use the links... :D

I'm confused about the work comment. Is sailing fun to you? all those ropes you have to pull, the sanding, the painting, that stick that won't just stay in one place while you go get a beer. sounds like work to me.

Ah but Edward that's why I sail a Laser. Only one rope to pull. No sanding to speak of. Absolutely no painting.

And the trick with the beer is to have the race committee to give it to you and then hold it one hand while you steer with the other and hold the mainsheet with ... Hmmmm, you're right, there is a problem with beer.

With a cruising boat, you can have a space built in for a keg and run a feeding tube out to the cockpit for the helmsperson. No fuss, no muss, just suck the suds down. For the dedicated helmsperson, a second tube connected to the cockpit drains is an option best disucssed elsewhere.
